Miss Pennsylvania Pageant Under Way In Harmar

A new Miss Pennsylvania will be crowned for 2009 in the annual pageant, which is being held this weekend in Allegheny County.

Last year's winner was Kendria Perry, a graduate student at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz School of Public Policy and Management.

Miss Pennsylvania will represent the state at the Miss America Pageant in Las Vegas in January.

The Miss Pennsylvania pageant moved to Allegheny County for 2009 after being held for many years in the Lehigh Valley region in Nazareth, Pa.
