THE Pyjama Foundation is calling for angels in Ipswich to come forth.

Director and founder Bronwyn Sheehan said the not-for-profit organisation, which recruits and trains volunteers to read to children in foster care homes, wanted to launch a local chapter.

“Research states the single most beneficial way to improve a child’s literacy skills is to read books aloud to them,” she said.
