There are a few things that can be said of Dan Aykroyd

- He was part of the original groundbreaking cast of “Saturday Night Live”

- He co-starred in not one, not two, but four all-time classic films (Blues Brothers, Trading Places, Indian Jones and the Temple of Doom, and Ghost Busters)

- He is part-owner of one of the most successful chain of rock clubs ever, The House of Blues

- And he has a successful marriage of 23 years to knockout blonde Donna Dixon, formerly of “Bosom Buddies” with Tom Hanks.

But now he wants to throw all of that out of the window and release a DVD about ufos and why he believes in them.

It’s okay to believe in other life outside this universe, but to say so on a self-produced DVD is sort of like trading a Cadillac for a microphone.

aliens bashed into this electronics store

According to the ufo-lovin Sploid, Akroyd claims to have had two seperate encounters with the aliens.

The first time he saw a perfect formation of alien spacecraft zooming at extremely high speeds but the second time was more spiritual, the actor told Reuters on Tuesday.

“The second was a telepathic experience,” he said, which happened at a lake retreat in Canada.

“I was asleep with my wife and I woke up about 3 a.m. wanting to go outside into a field and look at the sky,” he said, telling his wife, “They want me to see. They want me to see.” She told him to forget it.

The next morning, he said, newspapers and radio reports from across the region were filled with eyewitness accounts from some of the estimated 12,000 people who saw a pink spiral in the sky.

The actor is selling dvds about the ufos on his website daufo.com and through Amazon.com.
