Those with long memories - or those with a sense of outrage - may remember stories our former cops reporter Mary Frances Gurton did on a ridiculous, creepy situation in Altadena.

Quick synopsis: Mellanie and John Hamilton are a typical Altadena couple who happen to be of different races. Mellanie, who is African American, and John, who is white, say and have videotapes to prove their LAPD officer neighbor, Irsie Henry, who is African American, doesn't care for interracial couples.

Hmm. Lake View Terrace. That's the Tujunga-area community where former Altadenan Rodney King ultimately was pulled over from the 210 Freeway by the LAPD before his beating. The producers must have known the name of the place would create some unconscious racial resonance.

Two guesses who plays the cop, and your first one, Samuel L. Jackson, doesn't count 'cause it is, in fact, Samuel L. Jackson.
