Alec Baldwin has apologised for a recent joke about mail-order brides that triggered outrage.

The Philippine government has demanded an apology from him.

The actor's remarks came in an interview with talk show host David Letterman, when he said he was thinking about "getting a Filipina mail-order bride".

He's since apologised, but thanks to the interview being widely circulated on YouTube, the huge Filipino population spread around the world has seen it.
