Police: Man Tries To Buy Young Girl

Dallas police said a Flower Mound man tried to buy an 8-year-old girl in order to use her as a sex slave.

Police said Kevin Moake told a woman that he wanted to have sex with an 8-year-old Mexican girl. They said they set up a meeting with Moake to buy another girl, 9, on Wednesday at a Dallas Burger King, where he offered money for one night with the girl.

“The arrestee gave us $100 with the belief we’d give the 9-year-old female over to him,” Dallas police’s C.I. Williams said.

Police said Moake also offered $2,000 to purchase the girl. He was subsequently arrested.

Moake’s neighbor Kathy Engman said he has two adult children and is a quiet man. He has no prior criminal record.

Police said they are searching for other possible victims. Moake remains in jail on $100,000 bond.
