31st January 2009 in Pantnagar witnessed students and campers primarily from technology domain participating at the maiden OSScamp Pantnagar. These camps are unconferences without the rigidity of conferences. OSScamp are community driven fun-tech-events that focuses on FOSS implementation and development in India.
Pantnagar camp was initiated as a result of endeavor of students who visited the OSScamp Delhi September 2008 and got addicted with the idea behind these camps to propagate open source. Eventually the camp took place on 31st January and 1st February 2009 and saw convergence of geeks, uninitiated’s and enthusiasts from varied domains.
