This is the hottest underground album I’ve heard since Godhead The General’s Introduction LP. Magnum O’s L-Tyrannic and Born Prince Asiatic have captured the tru art of MC’ing and created a masterpeice of pure poetic lyrisisim! I mean as I’m listening to it, Nile Hardin of 3rd School Recordings stormed in and said, and I quote,
“This is the best underground album I’ve heard in at least six years!”
And Remember Nile Hardin put out the classic album The Bootleg of Nile Hardin in 2004, And kept Godhead The General at number 2 for weeks on the Ruckers top 10 countdown producing the beat for “Golden Age”. From begining to end this joint is blazin! Track 1, “The Lesson”, should be on every hiphop radio station on the planet. These brothahz breakdown the core down fall of the Black American school system to the last atom. Track 7,”Understanding” is a classic and the type of joint that makes you wish that paternity test says “you are the father”. Track 11,”GhostTown” has one of the illest flows on the map. It’s definately a banger. And let me not forget “Flowin wit Masters”. Man… shit! You gonna have to grab this joint to really bear witness!
This is my first Hottest CD of 2007. Magnum Opus have put together a Tru Classic with Aint Know Mystery, blending together great beats and ill versityle lyrical word plays, senerios, lessons, and chamber arsonal spits over grimey instumentals. This album explored every topic, from riding the trolly with ya chick on her birthday in, “Ive Been Waiting”, to the life of a run-away slave in “No Happy Ending”.
Therefore so behold! I give Magnum O’s Aint No Mystery 6 out of 6 bars.
And it’s the first Tru Classic of 2007.
