Residents in Europe are massively outnumbering Americans in virtual world
Second Life according to new figures.
Of the 1.3 million users that logged in in March, 777,000 lived in Europe. Germany accounted for the most with 209,000 (16 percent) while the UK only managed 72,000, representing a paltry six percent of the virtual population.
t’s especially fascinating to note that the number of active German residents exceeds the number of active residents in the entire U.S. It is little wonder that bricks and mortar businesses are seeing Second Life as a virtual-world way of accessing a global, real-world customer base.”
