IF YOUR SONGS AREN'T GETTING PEOPLE EXCITED...

T

here's no way to say it clearer than this: If your songs are notGary Ewer
generating excitement, they are DUDS, and you need to fix your songwriting approach. This website will help you get started writing the kind of songs you should be writing.

We can learn a lot about songwriting by studying architects and watching what they do when they design a new apartment building.

More than anything, the designer knows that no matter how cleverly a building is designed, if that building doesn't generate some public excitement, no one will move in. It's simply going to be the best designed empty building in the neighbourhood. There's got to be something about that building that first and foremost catches the eye of anyone looking at it. If it just looks like every other apartment building in the city, they'll have to work like a dog to get anyone to consider moving into that building over any other one.

Songs are, in essence, "buildings" of a different sort. And if you are simply trying to make your songs, your chords, your melodies and lyrics sound like every other song out there, you've killed any chance of getting listeners excited over your songs.

"I just want to thank you for being so helpful. You are not just a teacher at heart, you are a teacher with a heart... I've just
found your web-site so i just started reading... I can already see that you are going to help me a great deal with my songwriting. thanks again."

I need to restate this important point: Your songs are DUDS if they don't generate excitement.
