Due to embargoes, we’re not allowed to mention the details of which products will launch this week at the DEMO conference in Palm Desert, California. But we are allowed to mention which social sites will be in attendance (the full list is here), so you can make your own conclusions about what’s in store. In fact, most of these services are already live.

Browser Extensions

Among the browser extensions at DEMO will be Trailfire, the annotation service we’ve covered here before, and Me.dium, a browser-based social service we’ve been testing for the past few months - Me.dium lets you see which webpages your friends are on and chat about them.

Mobile

Among the mobile services presenting is Yodio, which allows you to record and share audio clips recorded by phone. It’s basically Evoca with a mobile focus.

The Next YouTube?

There are a bunch of video sharing sites, too. Vringo is an interesting video play - the service lets you share video ringtones that are displayed when you call your friends. Look out too for Eyejot, which offers video messaging and the ability to embed a widget on MySpace. Familiar video startup Blinkx will also be there.

Finally, there are a number of general social sites and social networks showing up. Panjea, a social network with revenue sharing that we’ve covered here before, will be in attendance. So will My-Currency, a social network for real estate. There’s also CircleUp, another Yahoo Answers-type site. One final DEMO attendee that actually shows some utility is OurStory, which allows families to plot stories, photos and videos on a timeline to share with others.
