A good supply of old and even new cables can be found in elevator shafts. This particular shaft was located in an old, empty, grainery near Zatec, about 40 miles north-west from Prague.

The cable was, however, tightly fastened and the other end of it was disappearing somewhere in the shadows near the top of the shaft.
