THE UNIVERSE WORKS! I made it to the Green green grass of home intact---Oregon is like an emerald after the bleak tundra...WOW! It's sooo GREEN!
I like this little town too, lotsa hippies, little old professor types and little ol' ladies in tennis shoes walkin' the neighborhood which is very quiet and crime freeeee! NO Wal-Mart (but a few yuppie coffee bars), Oregon State University, real nice library, community pool, ballfields, farmers market, food co-op. 50 miles to the ocean, where we'll go next weekend.

It's really a JOY to be back with Matt and the grandkids, Kamolluck, Daughter-in-law, too, she's a great comfort.... At 5, Aelfie is talkin' like he's already in school and Kaelli is always huggin' and smiling at me and tells me she loves me every day...what a joyous little charmer...my special li'l girl...

anyway, it's such a relief to have that military vibe of Fairbanks outta my head...my apt. building was becoming a hip-hop soldier's ghetto...
